The catch: <strong>SSI recipients will receive no deposit at any point during August<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Cabe recordar \u2014 as the SSA&#8217;s own calendar makes clear \u2014 that none of this is an extra payment or a missed one. It is the same money on a shifted date, and confusing the two is the fastest way to blow up a monthly budget.<\/p>\n<h2>The four August 2026 payment dates<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Friday, July 31<\/strong> \u2014 SSI for the month of August, moved up because the 1st is a weekend day.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Monday, August 3<\/strong> \u2014 beneficiaries who started collecting before <strong>May 1997<\/strong>, plus those who receive both SSI and a Social Security benefit.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Wednesday, August 12<\/strong> \u2014 birthdays on the <strong>1st through the 10th<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Wednesday, August 19<\/strong> \u2014 birthdays on the <strong>11th through the 20th<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Wednesday, August 26<\/strong> \u2014 birthdays on the <strong>21st through the 31st<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Why SSI recipients see nothing in August<\/h2>\n<p>SSI is normally paid on the 1st of each month, and when the 1st falls on a weekend or a federal holiday, the money is sent on the preceding business day. That single rule is what reshuffles the whole month.<\/p>\n<p>The practical effect is that SSI beneficiaries collect two checks in July and none in August, with the next deposit arriving September 1. Es decir: nobody loses a payment, but anyone who pays rent or utilities in the first days of the month is working with money that landed five weeks earlier.<\/p>\n<p>It is not a one-off, either. The same shift has already happened three times in 2026 \u2014 February&#8217;s payment arrived January 30, March&#8217;s on February 27, and November&#8217;s will be issued October 30 \u2014 leaving March, August and November without an SSI deposit.<\/p>\n<h2>Who is paid on August 3<\/h2>\n<p>The <strong>3rd of the month<\/strong> is reserved for the oldest cohort in the system and for people enrolled in both programs at once.
