The Social Security Administration (SSA) has already set the payment calendar for November 2026, and it comes with two changes from the usual schedule: one date moves because of Veterans Day, and SSI recipients will not receive any deposit during the month.
Retirees, disability beneficiaries and survivors will be paid on four dates, depending on when they started receiving benefits and on their date of birth.
November 2026 payment dates
- Tuesday, November 3 | beneficiaries who started receiving benefits before May 1997 and those who receive Social Security and SSI.
- Tuesday, November 10 | birthdays from the 1st to the 10th. It is moved from Wednesday, November 11, Veterans Day.
- Wednesday, November 18 | birthdays from the 11th to the 20th.
- Wednesday, November 25 | birthdays from the 21st to the 31st, the day before Thanksgiving.
No SSI in November
SSI recipients will receive the November payment early, on Friday, October 30, because November 1 falls on a Sunday. As a result, there will be no SSI deposit during November. The next one will arrive on Tuesday, December 1. We explained the reason in our article about the two SSI payments in October.
November payments do not include the COLA
The 3.6% COLA announced on October 14 will not appear in the November checks. Retirees and disability beneficiaries will see it in January 2027, and SSI recipients on December 31. November is, however, the month in which many beneficiaries will receive the notice with their new amount online, as long as they meet the November 18 deadline.
It is also the month in which the government is expected to announce the 2027 Medicare Part B premium, which will determine how much of the increase each beneficiary actually receives.
Before November, there are still two Social Security payments in October: Wednesday, October 21 and Wednesday, October 28. All the dates are in our calendar for the rest of October.
