For everyone else, the payment day depends on the day of the month they were born. Beneficiaries born between the 1st and 10th are paid on Wednesday, August 12. Those born between the 11th and 20th receive their deposit on Wednesday, August 19. And those born between the 21st and 31st are paid on Wednesday, August 26.

Once assigned, a beneficiary’s Wednesday does not change from month to month, which makes it easy to anticipate future deposits. The staggered structure lets the SSA distribute payments to millions of disability recipients without overloading the system on a single day.
SSDI recipients who are also curious about how their monthly amount could rise next year should watch for the cost-of-living adjustment. Payment figures will be updated after the 2027 Social Security COLA is announced in mid-October.
If a scheduled payment does not arrive on the expected day, the SSA advises waiting three mailing days before contacting the agency, as banks can take extra time to post the deposit.
